I understand the reverence for DiMaggio's streak, but yes, I still think that it's kind of quirky/overinflated. Ted Williams had a better batting average than DiMaggio during the 56 game streak. That is more important to me.

Two things:
1) We haven't had the conversation about DiMaggio vs. Williams on this board in a LONG time.
2) Ted Williams is one of Drew Brees's heroes, and he is the reason that Drew wears #9...

Fun fact: Tebow had a streak of 9 in games where he actually threw a pass. And Tebow threw like 15 times a game.

What exactly does "Uninterrupted Game" mean, inreference to Brees' and Brady's streak?

Brees did not play in the final regular season game versus Carolina a few years ago because the Saints had already locked up their seed. Its not counted against the record because he didn't play at all.
If he had come in for one snap it would have counted.

Please make it stop. Nobody outside of Louisiana and ESPN cares about the one TD a game for a bunch of games streak.
