Hit in the face by a sharp foul while in the on deck circle. It's pretty gnarly. Hope he recovers quickly.

dumb they don't switch to the other team's on-deck circle when a lefty is up.

Well he was half way between the circle and the plate.
Had he been in or at least near the circle he wouldve had more time to get out of the way

Thats not really safe either.
When my son was playing HS ball. My son batted right handed. Opposing team is in the 3rd base dugout. Pitcher throws a change-up. My son swings early. Like Very early. Hits a line drive straight into the dugout of the opposing team. Ball hits an assistant coach square in the side of the head. Ol' baw drops to the ground. Stays there for a couple of minutes. Gets up but drops to the ground again. They eventually get him to the ER. Come to find out he previously had some type of brain surgery. I felt bad.
Fast forward about 3 years later and my son is in legion ball. Same scenario as above. Different batter. Hits a one hopper into the opposing teams dugout. Ball catches a player in the nose. My son told me his nose was broke so bad that the bone was about to poke through the skin.
I've watched a lot of baseball in my time. But I had never seen a foul ball go into the dugout on the backside of the batter before.

He also had a winner at churchill This weekend, and the whole team got into the winners circle.
