And after all that, this game really should just be in extras in reality if you eliminate all errors (Russell Martin's included).

The Rangers should have won this series. They had a chance to end it at home but messed up and then choked tonight.

It's always a toss-up as to which team will rip my heart out more over the course of a season - Rangers or Stars. Time to start getting my hockey hopes up again.

At least the Stars have won a cup before

And when have they ever really choked?

Rangers have 3 chokes in the last 4 years. 2011, 2012, and now 2015.

Meh... It sucks and they should have won this , but they were playing with house money. This team was picked to finish dead last in their division and had the most injuries of any other team in baseball. The rotation will be healthy next year and the lineup will be salty. A healthy Rangers rotation will be unhittable next year with a strong bullpen to back it up. This team never quit and as bad as it sucks right now, damn its good to have a dog in the fight in October.

No one expected this team to be .500 before the injuries, much less win the division and take the overwhelming WS favorite to 5 games. I would say those metrics account for playing with house money. Do you disagree? If the Rangers are healthy next year I expect a clear role reversal. The only caveat that a team rolling out Yu, Gallardo, Hamels, and Perez with DutchOven and Lewis for long relief and fill starts will be expected to shut down opposing teams instead of relying on bullpen work to keep them in until the bats can scratch a few across.

They'll be back next year. If Yu was healthy, Texas sweeps Toronto.

as a Ranger fan you shouldnt take any playoff berth for granted, especially when you have arguably the best team in the AL on the ropes.

I know i wouldnt be saying y'all were playing with house money. Id be pissed. The AL is wide open and the Rangers had as good of a shot as anyone

Toronto scored more runs than any other team.

Poor Rangers.

Wasn't talking about choking... Was talking about heartbreak. They've had a couple of seasons where they had the players in place to make another run at the Cup... but injuries and sudden horrible goalie syndrome resulted in late-season decline.
