NFL said they would not remove the missed FG from the stats either.

I don't believe most anything I see online anymore, but didn't the NFL fess up that the ball hit the wire, but that they wouldn't be adjusting the stats?

really clear sports = entertainment and that only

Can someone explain the reference Michaels made). I didnt watch the game.
The Vikings and Browns played a game in London earlier this month. In that game a ball kicked by Reichard hit a wire that was strung across the playing surface.
No one noticed at the time. It should have been a dead ball and re-kick. Now the NFL is trying to claim it was an optical illusion.

Holy shite, it clearly hits that wire.
NFL more fixed than NBA???? We know NBA is fixed to a point
I still don't know how the the blown call in saints-rams hasn't been investigated more. The ref made the call, he got bullied to. Pick the flag up. No one could claim it wasn't pass int, and a horrendous. Pass int to boot. He blew him up for christs sake.
NFL had a lot of interest in Rams winning. Especially with all the cash kroenke spent to bring new stadium. He is one of biggest power players in NFL now, the good ole boys have been pushed to the side. Jerrah just looks for one of their dicks to hang onto

Funny how for innumerable decades, neither announcers nor fans needed a rules official as a part of the production. Yet, now every broadcast has someone on staff to explain the rules of football to me, like it’s physics.

“Hey guys don’t worry about that silly ‘physics’ thing. That ball totally did not touch anything.
Having been a PK in a former life and having watched thousands of balls come off my foot if you watch the rotation in slow motion it isn't an anomalous flight. I have seen my share of those.
Still having a bit of a kicker mindset one of my favorite football YT channels is Isaac Punts. He produces ST oriented content. He has one of the most comprehensive breakdowns with every angle he could find and also agrees the ball did not touch a wire.
I looked up his orignal video

It definitely hit the wire. There's absolutely no doubt. I have no idea why the NFL would embarrass themselves fabricating this lie to uphold.
