The man accused in the beating death of Adrian Peterson’s 2-year-old son had previously been accused of abusing a 3-year-old.

The Argus Leader reports that Joseph Robert Patterson had previously been given a suspended sentence on two domestic abuse cases, one involving an assault on a woman he was previously involved with, and another involving an assault on that woman’s child.

Patterson was given a one-year jail term for each of those two charges, but the jail time was suspended on the condition he attend domestic violence counseling.

I know we all grieve differently, but I seriously doubt I would be able to go to work two days after my son died following being fatally beaten.

Did you see the video I posted about this last night? He seemed HAPPY about it so why wouldn't he go to work?

I have lost a good deal of respect for AP. If my son was in critical condition (now we see it wasvery critical), there is no way in hell I'd be going to work

Just curious here, but do you actually realize how selfish this statement is?

ESPN won't care, they'll play up the angle for all it's worth and AP will feign grief in the pre and post game interviews.

Been saying it the whole thread and ignits have been criticizing me! AP was never...never...a parent to this child...never! Now he doesn't have to pay any support either. The momma made poor choices and should be held accountable, along with the loser who killed the boy. Sadly, this happens daily in America!
