ACC basketball coaches have voted to wear polos instead of suits

What a shame. It feels like America is on the decline seeing stuff like this. Polos are just amateurish on college basketball coaches, and make them look like small-time, which reflect poorly on their schools and conferences.
Suits convey an image on everyone who wears them. They convey images of wheeling and dealing, and power.

I’m surprised that a conference mandates coaching outfits. If a coach wants to wear a suit Ike Mike Nolan or dress like Bill Bellichick or Bill Snyder, it should be their own prerogative.

I could careless if a coach wears a suit or not. NFL coaches wore them too at one point. It’s sports wearing a suit is overkill. Plus smart on the ACC. They don’t offer coaches suits in the gift shop but they can the coaches polo!

I've thought wearing suits is rather stupid. Most coaches have the jacket off within two seconds anyways. How about you let coaches dress how they want?
