MLB says Abreu’s two-game suspension is upheld and will be served first two games of 2024 season.

This sets an awful precedent but I've never known Manfred to make good decisions for the game..so its par for the course.

MLB fricked up, knows they fricked up, but then are too ego driven to admit it so they do this which will just piss off everyone

Astros fans are still pissed because it shouldnt have been a suspension in first place

Astros haters and Rangers fans will whine because they want him suspended because it helps their team

Everyone else will wonder what is the logic or point of this.

A suspension should be immediate, otherwise there's no point to it. Delaying a suspension for the first two games of a 162 game schedule is completely meaningless. MLB has turned into a trash heap.

MLB knows they overreacted and this is thin just trying to save face. Total BS he was suspended at all but I’ll take the suspension next year

Eh I don’t care he’s suspended the first 2 games next year, for the playoffs was bull shite because I don’t think he was throwing at him. I do hope they plunk that cocksucker Garcia first AB in MMP next year.

Such horseshite on two fronts. He should have never been suspended in first place and second was postponing until next year. Either he did it intentionally (it was not) and he has to face consequences now or not.

Go for it. I hope he fights an astro considering there isn't a pussy on that team that could take him in a fight

He sure didn't seem interested in going after Abreu

Took one look at 6'1 225 26 year old Abreu and immediately turned around to jaw jack at the fat old catcher.

We both know Garcia would rock his world. The Astros may be the softest team in sports when it comes to strength/fighting. Not a single intimidating player on the roster

If you’re going to suspend someone, make it hurt. Otherwise, why do it? The MLB needs to quit being so scared of punishing the players. They let the Astros’ players off the hook in 2017, too.

I don’t understand how they can ever determine a player is trying to hit a player on purpose.

Instead, make a rule that if you hit one batter, you get a warning. Do it again, you’re gone for the game. Tell the batters that they cannot deliberately move into the path of the ball in any way shape or form. If they do it once, they’re out and warned. If they do it again, they’re out of the game.

It’s not hard.

So in his mind he thinks he got intentionally plunked by the “softest team in sports” yet he was too soft to actually throw a punch.

What does that make him?

Lol Adolis had a free run at Maldy and immediately cowered whenever he saw Maldy not flinch and went back into hold me back mode
