This? I thought the cell phone companies don't have records of actual texts just the numbers between them? Anyone know for sure?

I'm quite sure the phone companies have records of all texts. For example, how did the text between Bobby Petrino and Jeff Long get publicized if not?
Someone sued under FOI act and got them from the phone company

The law requires them to keep records of all voice, text and data usage for many years.
