You betcha.

Hell, I can't believe I have been defending Romo & the Boys. I'm not even a fan.

I've been married to one for 39 years. Maybe she's converted me and I don't know it.

What I'm saying is that I think Romo has done a damn good job leading the Boys to the verge of the playoffs with no running game,

They have a good RB who doesn't get his number called enough because they love to throw to....

an average corps of receivers

Actually an above average receiving corps. They have talent at WR, TE, and RB.

Meh, it depends on how you see the distribution of QB talent in the NFL. If you think its a normal distribution, maybe so. But I think there is a HUGE dropoff after the Romo/Ryan tier of well over half the QBs in the league. Ymmv.

A lot of why he "doesn't get his number called" is because he has been injured at least 50% of the season. JG has done a decent job of trying to call running plays when Murray was feeling it. But yesterday we just couldn't get it going, then he fumbled. That and he gets a lot of yards on his own, and most times he's getting pinged as the ball is being handed off, so as the coach you almost have no choice but to be conservative with the running game when your OL won't allow you to dictate the LOS.

OK awesome. I wish more people just ignored the OP and stated if he was average or terrible or whatever.

Also I just left to go to Church and I prayed that when I came back, that PJ didn't drool his retarded words all over this thread. frick!

I feel Romo is a top 7 QB in terms of talent and ability. The luck he has had is just horrible. I think Romo will be gone in 2 years though, due to rebuild job that's about to happen.

Brees might have 18 picks but that goes with a shitload of TDs. Manning won the MVP in 09 throwing 16 picks. He lost his HC, had a lengthy holdout and is still blowing romo away. You act as if Drew isn't light years better. And there is a huge difference b/w the saints D and the cowboys. Drew would have the cowboys as serious NFC contenders. Romo's problem is two fold

1. Consistency

And I'm just speculating here

2. Dedication.

That's not to say I think he is a bad QB but the big 4 would all have that same team getting ready to rest their starters.

I think you may be overestimating Romo's supporting cast a bit... at least the current one.

my uncle in law has a brother in law that is a big cowboys fan. of course he is from washington(speed trap). He was talking all kinds of shite last time I saw him about going watch the cowboys beat the saints. Now Im gonna ruin his christmas, and I promise he is gonna be sooooo mad.

Oh and I dont care if you think romo played well or not. nothing pisses off a cowboys fan more than calling romo a loser... as evidenced in this thread.
