A number one women's seed eliminated! | UPDATED: Two No. 1 Seeds Eliminated

Stanford has lost to Mississippi. It is the fifth time in 30 years a 1-seed on the women's side has failed to make the Sweet 16 round. Stanford involved in two of them - including the only 16 vs 1 upset in women's history in 1998.
Indiana eliminated and opens the door wide in that regional as well. Potentially a huge help for LSU to reach the Final Four in 15 years.

Upsets are extremely rare in women’s basketball because there is zero talent to go around. Most of the tournament is 40 point blowouts

hmm one is a baby and the other is a granny. Any other matchups?

Hoping for an Ole Miss v Iowa to Final Four matchup. You won’t see a more racially different pair of team outside of a chess match.

This.
The deep bench players at schools like UCONN and Tennessee used to be better than starters for 90% of other teams.

Sounds like the Tennessee-Rutgers title game that got Don Imus up shite creek.

Ole Miss shot below 30% from the field. LOL
That is pathetic.
Some of the men’s game suck also. You got teams shooting below 40%.

I'll give you credit for having an opinion about a DII HBCU, but think it's a bit harsh. Or did you mean VCU?

Kind of an odd choice of schools to pick on. VCU is vastly different than Virginia State.
As far as women's basketball and their far left liberal coaches, frick both Stanford and South Carolina. Where's Brittany Griner now? Does anyone know? That's right no one cares even the ones that knighted for it.

Stanford had lost 5 games, including a game in the PAC tournament. They had lost to S Car in OT, but so had Ole Miss. For a #1 seed in the women's tourney, they were beatable.

Agreed, It's similar to what the men's game was in the 60's and 70's only about 3-4 teams most years have a shot at winning.
