The alternative is you are the Browns and on your 80th QB since 2000.

I’ll trust Shanahan over you. It was a close call though!

I can see this being a Matt Flynn/Brock Osweiler situation all over again.

Yeah not like he was Favre's backup and started 9 games for Philly after Andy Reid got hired.

Uh, Matt Flynn got a big contract for one game, and you're surprised by this?!

He completely changed San Fran in a matter of 5 games. In today's NFL, he is going to get paid for that.

The league just throws money at QBs that show even the slightest chance of being better than average. That's why Cousins is going to get paid a ridiculous amount, and if Foles were a FA, he would get paid an outrageous amount as well.

It's either that or be mired in mediocrity with QBs named Beathard, Osweiler, Stanton, or Kiser.

To be fair he’s getting the same GTD money as guys like Chandler Parsons and Nick Batum for the NBA

The over-exaggeration is real. I cannot believe people are so star struck by Garappolo. You would have thought after being burned before people would learn their lesson, yet here we are.

I'd stick with him and sign him guaranteed for 2 years, dude showed out, appears to be learning well under the Shanahan system, plays under a rising star GM and one can build around him, go for it, those who never try always fail

He was balling his last few game. He took the shite 49ers into Jax and beat them. The alternitave would be to save some cash on Keenum.... yeah no thanks.

You realized he only played 5 games, right? Not even half a season.
