If that person is a Progressive Democrat, then yes, they would encourage their son to play on a woman's team. We already know the answer to this. We see it daily now.
Progressives hate their own daughters so much, they would allow their sons to do this.

I'm not advocating that women should be allowed to play in men's sports, I was simply stating that the responses from dudes about a girl being allowed to bat ONCE during a baseball game are completely ridiculous.
ETA: There is a poster currently saying that girls sports should be dismantled since they have no shot at going pro

I did not. I said "womens" sports, specifically college, Olympic, and professional leagues. There is no need for them. We are creating niche sports for no reason.

Men cannot play in womens sports leagues. Therefore, women have their own sports leagues.
Can a man join a womens softball team?
Women can now play in means sports leagues (evidenced by a woman playing in a mens baseball game).
Therefore, men now do not have their own sports leagues. Brown no longer has a mens baseball team. They have a mixed sex baseball team. You can’t deny that.

What? How is a girl playing baseball in an Ivy league that under normal circumstances you would never watch in the first place ruining America? If she was good enough to make the team then good for her. She's a pinch hitter for probably a crappy team. I was fully expecting a strike out but she made decent contact.

That's strange.
If the girl can play, she should play. If she simply wants to participate and this is a virtue signal, she should not play. Too many people see value in manipulating a system to get a woman to play and then pretending it's an accomplishment.
