First 4 games- 4 of the New Year's Six Bowls

Fiesta
Orange
Cotton
Peach

Semifinals- 2 of the last New Year's Six Bowls

Rose
Sugar

Finals- CFB NC game

I like this. Uses all of the old bowls, and obviously they can rotate which bowls are quarterfinals and which are semifinal games.

Can include all 5 conference champs (if ranked in top 25), two at larges (your one-two loss non conference champs) and 1 Group of 5 team ranked highest.

Adds one more game, but would be awesome to use all the NY6 bowls for something of importance, and give the Group of 5 a chance to play for something real. Plus with all your conferences covered and your at larges covered, there shouldn't be any more complaining (lol).

For reference a system like this could look like

1. Alabama vs. 8 UCF
2. Clemson vs. 7 Georgia
3. Oklahoma vs. 6. Wisconsin
4. Ohio State vs. 5. USC

the Rose Bowl would never allow for it to be moved from its traditional day and time.

We are having a hard time finding 4 teams worthy of going to a playoff and you want to make it 8?

No way. 6 at absolute most. No need to reward good but not great teams. Six at least rewards teams who have truly great seasons.

Good grief, why do idiots keep thinking an 8 team playoff is a good idea?

It's going to happen sooner rather than later.

The first round would pretty much have to be played at home of higher seed. Just not realistic to expect any fan base to go to three different major bowl cities in a few weeks.

I like the idea of an 8 team playoff with 5 auto-bids. 2 at-large P5 teams (or ND).

Then a 1 game playoff between the top 2 G5 teams for the last playoff spot.

Six is as big as it should get, give the top two seeds a bye.

Nobody should give a damn about the group of 5, if one of those teams is good enough to get in it should be on merit.

If D2 can have a legit playoff, why can't D1?
