First round at higher seed homefield. Fanbases would be stretched thin if asked to hit the road three weeks in a row.

Because think of the academics and how D2 kids don’t care about academics

I think that's a good idea.

If D2 can have a legit playoff, why can't D1?

Do any of you people who say this stuff watch FCS or lower regular season football? It's atrocious.

There are 130 FBS teams, and a significant amount of them still schedule FCS teams. Let's start by fixing that.

Saban has tried to clean up the pussy arse SEC.

None of the coaches will side with him.

4 or maybe 6 teams using the bcs and not this sketchy arse committee.

I don't get why there needs to be more playoff teams. I'd rather see teams play more conference games or get rid of divisions and actually have the two best teams in each conference play in the ccg. Have it uniform across the major conferences.

Then if you really want to expand take the champions and an at large. Hell you could even throw in some kind of stipulation where if a conference champion completely sucked they could be bypassed by a second at large.

Yet, he'll happily play Mercer the week before the big, bad Iron Bowl.

It’s going to 8. More games more money. I would have a stipulation that for conference champion to get in they have to be ranked in the top 15. Same goes for the Group of 5 team to get in.

ETA. I like the idea of going back to the BCS ranking system and ditching this stupid committee.

Hell yeah he'll play Mercer. If nobody else in the SEC wants to change, he's going to do what he can to get Alabama to the playoff.

Would not be in favor of ANY playoff scenario which would not have any games at campus sites !

Exactly the point. Everyone else plays weak schedules, so why not...

When Saban retires and becomes the czar of college football, he'll fix this shite right up.

SEC Teams vs FCS teams in October or November:
Mercer at Alabama
Wofford at South Carolina

Yeah, it is such a problem around the league
. Saban is responsible for 50% of SEC vs FCS games after week 5.
