Athletes have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than dying of coronavirus.

No way they cancel because 4 players on one team got Covid

What about 14? And the team they played over the weekend also canceling?

I agree with Travis and others questioning why so many writers are borderline giddy about COVID impacting the seasons.

Politicization of everything? Have the nose-in-the-air elitists who've taken over all other journalism slowly taken over sports journalism as well, and this is just a typical enlightened journo vs. dumbass reader/fan thing? I'm sure politics plays a role, but I'm trying to set that aside.

Self importance... they can get more time in limelight with "breaking news" etc.

What are their chances of infecting someone else with a lightning strike once they have been struck by lightning?

Would imagine they’d have to write more editorial type pieces as well in the absence of actual news.

Wouldn’t the Marlins just forfeit their games and everyone else continue as scheduled?

You should be penalized for allowing this. So yes, suspend the Marlins.

Well, any one they are touching would be infected with the lightening strike too. What exactly is your point? I'm guessing that made more sense in your head?

This happened around 1990 when people like Lupica, Ryan, and crew started to get television shows. Ryan, McMullan, Greenberg, and many others truly have disdain for others. They honestly believe their world view is the only world view.

Agreed. So maybe we shouldn’t have these players hold so many hands while subjecting themselves to lightning strikes. Hence, a bubble.

Most of what reporters spend time on now is not actual game play, but transactions, injuries, negotiations etc. Not having games won't hurt reporters (short term).

Look at Top Headlines on ESPN.com and not one story is about games or results.

Oof. You missed the point completely. Not shocked based on your previous post.

I was joking, making a stupid point in response to a stupid point, from the start. I don’t think you’ve picked up on it.
