Yet we’ve had multiple cases with nba guys, mlb guys, nfl players who presumably have significantly less exposure. It’s so fricking weird.
They have less but in the case of the Marlins, they are on the road. I think Philadelphia (where they are) has reopened some. Probably had opportunities to contract the virus at dinner or just out and about.

I am claiming that an N-95 mask, which MLB should have no problem providing, significantly reduces their chances.
Even if you believe the limited clinical data to support that statement, if you aren’t going to force the players to shave, properly fit the masks and then somehow force them not to touch them continually as they move around shared areas it’s a moot point.
You and your fellow clinicians are largely safe because you have a career worth of fastidious hygiene habits which these guys never will.
I’d be more concerned about the fail rate on the tests currently being used. If the numbers being tossed around of having 10% false negative and 13% false positive are accurate I’m not sure how you even know for sure who to quarantine if most of the positive cases are highly likely to be asymptomatic.

I get that. It’s not like the employees I mentioned aren’t going to the beach, restaurants, hanging out with friends, etc as well. The hygiene of these guys must just be complete shite.

Wouldn’t the Marlins just forfeit their games and everyone else continue as scheduled?
Eh no one would be able to tell the difference looking at schedules

I assume this would cause the entire team to have to quarantine. If that's the case, they should have to forfeit those games and keep the season rolling.

Lol playing major college football is probably worse for your long term health than Covid

I’ve socialised often and been to 4 different states since March and haven’t gotten sick at all. It is overblown
You're a dumbass. You probably have antibodies tho

Good point. Marlins team staff think they could have gotten it in Atlanta, where they were for an exhibition game. Thanks to Lou Williams of the Clippers, we now know at least one strip club is open in the ATL.

Literally was gonna say the same thing. A couple people (which is 100% not a big deal) getting the Rona is now an outbreak? I really fricking hate this country people are fricking morons.

I still haven’t gotten it
And have been exposed a few times
2 negative tests and no antibodies

I'm sure ESPN will be pushing all day on their opinion shows, radio and t.v. "See, time to shut this down".
But this is expected. That's why the teams have taxi squads and a pool of players to pull from.

I think the Marlins players got it on purpose so they’d finally be talked about

Not surprising. In a radio interview a few weeks ago, Olney gave the season a 10% chance of starting and 0% chance of finishing.
