This deserves it's own thread. The NBA always delivers. Always

According to @Gambo987, Wayne Selden and Dillon Brooks are the two other Grizzlies headed to Phoenix in the reported three-team Trevor Ariza deal that can be swung after midnight

quote:

Sources with @ZachLowe_NBA: Deal in jeopardy over which Brooks -- MarShon or Dillon -- the Suns believed it was getting in the trade. Memphis will not put Dillon Brooks in the trade, sources said.

This reminds me of a time in like 2011 doing Fanrasy football doing an Auction draft with my family and putting up Adrian Peterson right away, the scrub in Chicago AP... then my dad blindly putting down $50 on him

Mid 90s fantasy draft, one fella drafts Gary Anderson in the late rounds.. and after a few picks someone finally thought to ask him which Gary Anderson he wanted...the kicker or the running back. He said RB...then proceeded to draft the kicking Gary Anderson with his next pick

Ernie is a fricking idiot.

Per Woj

Washington believes it was told Dillon Brooks in conversations with Memphis. The Grizzlies insist they told Washington it was MarShon. One rival GM texted me and said: "Maybe Washington can put Scott Brooks in if there has to be a Brooks in the deal." Welcome to NBA Trade Season.

I mean, there was no reason not to assume it was the Suns who messed it up.

The Suns swapped Ariza, who had phoned it in completely, for a young wing who is playing to get paid. If Rivers can play some next to Booker, great. That's a bonus. If not, buy him out.

Good deal for PHX although they obvi didn’t do themselves any favors with other guys around the league. Trevor is a elder statesman he should have been bought out and allowed to go where he wanted. That’s something that may hurt phx down the road with other FA.
