Gene Smith and Michael Drake are the two biggest problems with our football program. We need to fire them.

replacing him, as in what? a coach, yeah, they'll get a coach. but a coach w/ the resume and brand of an urban meyer? that's not as easy. only saban and harbaugh came in to their current schools w/ as much status as urban did when he took the OSU job

IMO this guy needs to retire from coaching for the good of his health. He just looks like something is wrong when they show him on the sidelines

I said before that Urban would be done after this year, and I hope I’m right. He’s a jackass that cares nothing about Ohio HS football. Case in point was Saturday when a local product he didn’t recruit kicked OSU’s arse. Good riddance, Urban. Enter Ryan Day.

Agreed that Gene Smith is a snake. He’s the reason Tressel is gone (took the fall for him). I think Drake is OK. If not for him Urban wouldn’t have been suspended at all.

He must know a job he wants is about to open up. Maybe the browns...maybe he wants to come back to the SEC and be in sabans division. Auburn is perfect.

Either Day or the Iowa St coach will take over IMO. But it wouldn’t surprise me if OSU swung for the fences (Saban or Dabo). They will strike out swinging though and settle for tier 2 or 3.

not defending meyer, but ohio has a lot of football talent. are they supposed to only offer kids from ohio and nowhere else? i mean, look at markus bailey's profile. he may be good, but he was the 45th best player, in the STATE, not country (990th overall). not exactly a blue chip talent that was deliberately ignored by meyer

I'm surprised OSU doesn't go after kids from St. Edward and Mentor considering how good those teams are every year.
I'd be surprised if they don't get that QB from Pickerington Central considering he's right in their backyard. That kid wrecked Mentor in the D1 title game
