Meyer just isn't cut out for all of the pressure that comes with being a head coach at a big program. It's too bad though because he's a great coach. He probably needs to go back to Utah or something where the pressure isn't this high.

I’ve been saying his body language and demeanor has been awful since he came back to the sidelines.

The only options are he leaves end of season or Gene Smith leaves and he moves to AD

Hey, we've seen from the business world that CEOs don't need to be from the specific industry -- CEOing is a critical skill in
and of itself, and just having 'CEO' on your resume is enough to get hired at the next CEO gig, for even more money.

It's time the college sports industry recognized the incredible talent any head coach brings to the table in the category of 'being a head coach.'

There is only one obvious choice, here, a proven winner as head coach every where, and possibly the only man in the country who should be mentioned on the same page as Urban Meyer.

I would be happy if they give Day a shot full time. He seemed to have the right demeanor to lead the program.

I think he needs to reevaluate some/most of the assistants too including Schiano. Seems a lot of these guys are sticking to philosophies that worked 10-15 years ago and not what is going on in the game today

Only thing I don’t understand about the story was none of these sources spoke out BEFORE OSU lost this weekend. If they had been getting info before this week just report it.

Multiple times, the term “friction” has been used to describe issues between Urban Meyer and Gene Smith

This isn’t surprising.

Gene Smith isn’t liked by many coaches across the university.

eplacing him, as in what? a coach, yeah, they'll get a coach. but a coach w/ the resume and brand of an urban meyer? that's not as easy. only saban and harbaugh came in to their current schools w/ as much status as urban did when he took the OSU job

May be looking.

Let's revisit this in a month or so. If LSU drops the Bama game and then implodes at Aggie and Arky, it's back to "come on down.

Still think we win out though.

OH I hope you guys are sooo right this is Urban Legends last year. Great coaches are far and few between (I am no saying Urban is one....just a replacement), I want them to get some rookie in there and watch the fans fly of the band wagon that started 15 years ago. That with an NCAA investigation of their cheating habits, dude we could send the suckeys to the stone age that would make USC and the Memorial Showers look like nothing.

Prayer tonight, "Dear God" Please let OSU be taken down for the lying cheating thugs that they are.

Signed- College football fans.

Just for fun, look up every violation OSU football has had from coaches to player since 03, it's astounding the trash that school produces...and the fans ignore it and keep drinking the O-H Kool aide....idiots.

Cup that with the fact "the fans will travel" and they get the nods for bowl games, etc, I hate everything in my very fiber for that football program.

They knew a loss was inevitable. Pretty obvious the reason to hold on to this was because it’s magnified by about 30 after a loss. They’d have held it for another month if they needed to.

That's how he looked at UF his final season
