Make drivers have to drive.
Your proposed changes do not do this.
You want to minimize fuel mileage races?
1) Raise the front air dam
2) Lower the rear spoiler
3) Soften the tires
4) Increase HP

I agree. I was only talking about Dega and Daytona fuel mileage races. I’ve been saying forever what you said. Nascar is changing stages in those plate races to avoid fuel savings so I proposed changes for those.

The changes I mentioned would make those intermediate 1.5 mile tracks much more entertaining.

Of course they would. Nascar is not listening to you and me and all the others who have left the sport. Thats the problem. Golden opportunity with F1 moving to Apple and having an electric car that no one likes. This was the year to make wholesale changes.
They increase the spacer by a smidge to get more HP but not enough. Thats about it. Some other small tweaks.
Meanwhile NOAP provides real good racing. And fans are seeing and moving to it as proved by ratings. NOAP gets way less exposure and yet racing fans are loving the racing, the booth and TV production.

Damn how did Reddick run out and not Hamlin?

I was working outdoors and listening to the race on MRN.
They do a real good job of describing the race and making it sound exciting

Reddick wins. Good finish.

Larson had it and just sank like a rock that last lap.

I had the race on in the background while I was completing tasks, but the only part worth watching was the end.

Idk how much of it was Larson coming back to him or if Reddick was just that fast. The Toyotas are a cut above right now.

My conspiracy is Nascar wants Bubba to win so badly they gave Toyota an advantage. But he’s not winning. Reddick is running circles around him. They have the same equipment and engines. One was a great hire the other a DEI hire.
Its likely something and all of them run better so possibly the body. There have been zero cheating penalties this year. Is Nascar looking other way or are teams not trying any more?
Race was boring compared to NOAP. And how many times has Ware ruined an end of race by spinning. 6 laps down. Plus Nascar could have waited a second he got it straight real fast. But they needed to manufacture dome fake drama. And it cost some drivers. Reddick said he was out of fuel likely went to backup. Yellow and pit saved him.

quote:that’s what I thought. NASCAR was waiting for an excuse to throw a caution so the race wouldn’t go down as a caution free, dud of a race.

I’ve joked before that Nascar pays lower teams to allow them to install equipment that creates a spin towards end. They hit the button and presto, a brake locks up or a tire loses air.
I know its not true but it would never surprise me if it was.
Also, Harvick made a comment Nascar won’t like. After they started stage 2 which should be longer booth was talking about when to take your pit. Harvick said due to all the laps under caution the stage was shorter than 1st and that would change strategies.

Trackhouse reminds me of lsu.
Do just enough at times to mask problems.
But when they can’t it’s embarrassingly bad.
If SVG and Zilisch aren’t contenders for the win at the Glen, sound the alarm.
