Of course.

But that helps prepare them for D4 pitching.

Was at their playoff game at Ascension Episcopal last year.

Division IV select is wild.

No. 9 St. Mary's hosting No. 16 Central Catholic in one quarterfinal.

Why did he leave last time. I don't remember if it was for a college or another high school position. I remember he did the Prospects organization.

Pushing Jason Kinchen out was just comical on CP's part. Dude can flat out coach. Always had teams competing no matter where he was coaching.

Paid them as in the men's club cooked for the kids after the game. We didn't pay them to play. It does them more of a service than it does us. Stop talking out of your arse.

SMHS makes it official.

Will Edwards, formally the pitching coach at Captain Shreve HS by way of Millsaps College, as well as several summer league Knights Knation teams.

Admin did their due diligence and didn't just go with the easy pick or prioritize an alum. Initially looks to be a solid hire.

Now the question is does he come in and start completely fresh or does he retain any of the current staff. He already has his work cut out for him to re-recruit the players/parents that wanted the current assistant who are threatening to leave.

Based on following Gamechanger, SMHS is only losing about 3 to 4 Seniors that had any meaningful playing time. If the infield kids that were playing and contributing at the end of the year would be dumb to leave. Aren't the twins and a couple others that got majority of playing time going to be Seniors next year.

I don’t give a shite about that. I’m impressed that they take on tough competition.

You are correct. But most of the chatter is coming from the sophomores. That's where the current assistant focused his politicking.

It's 2 39 point game for curtis, and 34 per game for Centerville so don't act like Curtis gets nothing out of it. It's nothing to get defensive over really. It happens more than people realize. I know the dollar amount as well so it's not something I'm just pulling out of my arse. Both sides benefit greatly from playing the games at no risk to either side.

Formerly not formally.

I have coached a couple of games against him and he’s a solid baseball dude.

Who are we picking in the Division 1 Non Select and why?
I got Zachary and Sam Houston in the final.
Should see some really good pitching in the ZHS DHS series.

I think it will be Dutchtown vs. Sam Houston.

Dutchtown #1 going against Zachary #1 should be good.

Here’s the article brief preview.of Centerville-Vinton, Catholic-ULab & Mangham-Delcambre.

Shouldn’t be behind a pay wall for hardly anybody. I think you get five articles a month.

Quite an emotional high to come off of for Dutchtown, but I knew they'll be as ready as they can be. Zachary is a tough out and plays at their home park, so I give the edge to Zachary.

Sam Houston is a really good team, but Destrehan has won 6 in a row including a sweep of West Monroe at West Monroe. I still give the edge to Sam Houston but I wouldn't be surprised to see Destrehan grind them out.

Tough call in 2 good series.
