Your post coincides with my article today.

I thought he looked a cut above the 92 mph range, but I’m an old human.

I haven’t checked the leaderboard on the PBR page.i should do that.

Big one tonight at Kirsch Rooney. Curtis v BM game 2, should be Tingstrom v Dufrene. Tingstrom won't light up the gun but he's a craft vet they use as the ace. Dufrene is a big, young arm. BM finishes with Karr and Aug so this could wrap up at least a share of the district.

ETA: Game moved to UNO.

He had that shutout against Lafayette High not long ago, also.

Erath come from behind 8-5 win over ARCA.

Jack Landry, 3 run HR; Landon Lemaire, 2 run HR (3 RBIs).

Landen DeRouen no decision

K. Rodriguez, 4.1 IP in relief

Barbe sweeps Sam Houston going 3-0 in regular season against them winning 8-1 last night at Sam Houston

Sulphur stays hot and beats Lafayette 8-7 last night

south beau beat westlake 4-2 monday night

St Louis beat Jennings monday night

most teams will be wrapping the regular season over the next 7-10 days

right now Sulphur sits at 5, Sam Houston at 4. So next 10 days is huge for sulphur. Figure out a way to win 3 of 4 from Barbe and SH and you are a top 4 seed no matter what. SH can secure it with 2 wins over sulphur

in Div 3 a lot will be decided on both select and non select side by the 3-3A tournament which is the SWLA area district. They have a tournament at the end of the season to determine the champion.

If St louis can win it, that would be big as that prolly means wins over westlake and south beau prolly putting them as the 4 seed on the D3S side. If Westlake or South Beau win it, they secure a top 4 seed and if they meet in the finals, good chance they remain #3 & #4 in the power rankings.

non select Power rankings

No. 5 Erath at No. 4 South Beauregard would be quite a rematch of last year's semis.

Yeah... various news outlets are reporting that a 16 year old junior ASH baseball player/student (I will not post his name here but it is listed in some media reports and social medial posts) was struck and killed in a hit and run incident in Alexandria last night. Sad situation. Thoughts and prayers to the family, teammates, friends, and all effected.

WM at Neville

West Monroe wins 6-2 against Neville tonight. Game posted above if you want to watch Cupit's curve ball live. Match that with a 95mph fastball from the left side and that's just really difficult for a kid to hit.

PBHS outlasted Dunham 2-1 in a game that saw all 3 runs score unearned.

Each team credited with 1 hit. PBHS led the game off with a single up the middle and Dunham had a line drive to the LF that went off his glove initially called an error changed to a hit.

Logan Sorrel with 13 Ks and 2 BB in 6 inn. Henry Beckers closed the 7th w 2 Ks

Runs were scored on WP, PB, and back to back fielding errors. Didn’t see enough from either of these teams offensively to think they have a chance at a deep playoff run, but as they say, it’s baseball.

How is Curtis ahead of Rummel in power rankings when Rummel swept them?

I would think a main driver is that Curtis just swept the #1 team in the power rankings, who had previously swept Rummel. I'd imagine some more shakeup in the power rankings in the next few weeks. I'd imagine BM sweeps the rest of their schedule, but will not hold on to #1.

Dutchtown and Walker Split the series.

Walker Stomped Dutchtown the first game 13-4. Dutchtown looked awful defensively

Dutchtown pulled out a 3-1 win in game two last night.

Dutchtown wins out against EA/Live oak they win district.

Because math. It’s not rankings. It’s ratings. 20 points + every win of the opposing team when you win. Divide by total games and that’s the number.

I was impressed with ARCA despite the loss.

Incredible to be at No. 3 in the D2 power ratings in only their second year of playoff contention.

I haven’t seen them, but their 1-0 win over Southside, albeit cold windy conditions b/w SH district games, was impressive

Definitely a rivalry aspect from down the street there

The coach Tyler Jensen is doing a fantastic job.

I'll have a newspaper article on the team tomorrow.

They took Game 1 last year at EDW in the playoffs.
