Cool. Show him my post also.. I never said he didn’t hit him in the nuts….. all I was saying is I thought a prior runner came into the bag hard and that’s where it started..

My bad. That was meant for the other guy who said he didn’t get hit in the balls. All good.

Slowed down videos can show a lot no doubt. The first baseman pulled himself in front of the runner multiple times during the game unnecessarily. Contact was inevitable, so get over it. I don't need to lie to anyone or convince anyone. My night was great... the sore loser throwing punches at an unexpecting player was ejected, my child's team won a second state championship, and the performance overall was dominant.

Just curious why is Southwest Louisiana specifically Calcasieu Parish so much better at baseball than everywhere else?

Incorrect observation. Baton Rouge area had 12 teams in the quarterfinals. 4 teams made the finals.

Calcasieu has all their best players going to 2 schools. The real story, is how did Sam Houston catch up to national powerhouse Barbe?

Probably by SLC LL producing too many players that good kids were being cut by Barbe… so they had to go somewhere.

But that point is incorrect because it’s more than just the Big Two in Calcasieu… Sulphur was the #9 seed, Westlake won state, and other schools there are good too

The LHSAA really needs to ban the noisemakers

Yes. At least the stupid horns. LHSAA spends all this time & money on broadcasting, but you barely hear the announcers over the horns.

Moron fans blow horns the entire game; a HR sounds the same as a ground out.

Baton Rouge area is significantly larger and has 2 5a districts - LC area does not have one.

But two of my football seasons were ended by teams from Calcasiue parish and both of whom went on to be runner ups.

Sore Loser?? Come on as he was getting ran into all day and 1b didn't pull himself into the runner. Umpire didn't control the situation and not surprised that happened.

"performance was dominant"

When you say dominant I think you forgot the first game. You should of been 1 hit by Johnson. If it wasn't for the weak pop up missed in the sun and error to end the inning would of been a 1 hitter. Johnson pitches on 4 days after throwing 112 and owned SH. So definately not a overal dominant performance you mention.

IMO Johnson is the best pitcher in the state.

2nd game Dutchtown had runners on multiple times and had hard hit balls and your SS make 2 unreal plays to stop momentum and the inning. Without him game would of been different. He is a dude.

3rd game same deal as far as 2b who made 2 great plays to do the same.

You guys won and happy for you but your fan base is by far the worse I have seen in all of HS baseball.

The only thing that was Dominant during the series was that 65yr old man who brought a whistle and was spot on whistling everytime our pitcher threw the ball. Really classy and should be proud of him.

Your team led for 1 inning over the 3 games (7th inning in game 1). Competitive for 1st two games. No pulse or competiveness yesterday. Players making great plays is part of being dominant.

Both groups of fans had idiots. Dutchtown brought plenty of whiners and excuse makers. Usually a characteristic of a runner-up.

Pitching for SHHS was solid. Had a 6 inning shutout going in game 1 until self inflicted walks/ hit batter in the 7th. Held you to 1 and 0 in game 2 and 3. Pretty dominant. Defense was phenomenal all season and this weekend was no different. Better team won, without a doubt.

Agree both fan bases and those damn horns sucked.

Your defense was really good. Doesn't help that our 3b coach has been terrible all year. Think we have been thrown out at home maybe 30 times bc of bad decisions.

Saying we brought plenty of whiners and excuse makers is complete BS. You guys won and played better during the season.

No use pushing this anymore as I can see where the players arrogance comes from.

having been around HS sports since 1970 as fan bases have gotten smaller over the years they have gotten worse slowly but surely - and it like the violence in games has sped up and increased post covid.

Sam Houston, Westlake, South Beau, Vinton and Welsh were all in the semis. Welsh has been runner up in Div 4 NS back to back years. Southwest La continues to be strong in baseball

Social media has made issues worse too imo…with so many ways to interact away from the field things tend to spill over. Whether it be fans arguing on a Facebook post or players to player through private messages…which happens a lot more than people realize

What does Sam Houston have coming back ?

Lose 2 contributors. 1 outfielder (decent pitcher) and 2nd basesman.

The outfielder is a senior but he doesn’t pitch…that is his younger brother who is a junior. Pitching staff will return all but like 3 innings but the 2 seniors on offense were the biggest run producers throughout the season. End of the season starting 10 was typically 2 seniors, 3 juniors and 5 sophomores
