How can you say a 2031 class is weak? These kids are 12 & 13??? 80% haven’t even hit puberty. You literally have no idea how they will develop..

Lol you commented on a post from February 6th, I was so confused as to what this response was to. ??

It's a discussion for a different day but the argument that no baseball matters pre puberty is a fallacy.

There are kids that were some of the best at 10 that are still top of their respective classes in HS right now. Also guys you didn't hear about until 12-13 in that same category. Yes hard work and the mental part of the game when HS teams have a scouting report on you does seperate, and it's great that it will all work itself out at the end of the day.

I get that, slightly different situation if the kids aren’t naturally 2031. Big difference in an actual 2031 who just turned 13 and a kid who was an actual 2030.. 1.5 years at that age is a lot. All I’m saying.

I think WM has quite a few hold backs in that class but Barbe and SH dont

and most 2031 kids that play baseball turned 13 may-decemeber. very few just turned 13. most are turning 14 right now because the way the cut off dates work in travel ball. if you are born after may 1, rarely are you not getting held back to play with your age group. it happens but rare.

and usually by 12-13 you know where they stand. can kids hit growth spurts and really hit the weight room and change their standing....sure but its kind of rare. alot more so than people think.

but 2031 kids are wrapping up 13u in the next month or 2. so essentially you have 1 season before HS left. sure some can develop but there aint much time left.

What are people thinking on Dutchtown vs Sam Houston Series?

How does Sam Houston handle pregame for the state championships? Watching Barbe not only sleep in their own beds, but go to their facility for meetings/get warmed up/etc. before taking a 10 minute bus ride seems like a massive advantage over being in a hotel for 3-4 days. Obviously it's not the end all/be all, but in a toss up matchup between these two teams, it could be a factor. Dutchtown seems on fire and obviously not afraid of anyone. I'll take the home team in this one.

Dutchtown had WM beat a few years ago before Hawsey hit a walk off 3 run bomb. They're more than capable of winning it all. Should be a great series.

Saw both teams play this year, i think Dutchtown will have trouble scoring runs against SH's staff

Westlake holds on and wins 5-3. Hardesty pitched another gem.

Sheets nor Downs took the mound for Sterlington. I am sure one of them will toe the bump tomorrow.

Once again, Sunstrom out early with control issues and Rodrigue finished the back half. Sunstrom gave up the runs with 4BBs and 2 Ks, Rodrigue gave up 1 hit w 6 Ks and no BBs getting one more out than Sunstrom

Both teams had 2 ERs, the unearned were the difference. Like good teams do, U-High capitalizes on mistakes and limits the damage from their free bases.

Hardesty threw 5.2/3 inning last out was K of Sheets. Westlake had one big inning aided by some bunts and bad defense. Got another runner to 3rd in 7th but couldn't get him in.
Sawyer Vidrine came in for the 4 out Save.

Sure it will be Anderson Vs Downs tomorrow
