Apple seems to be handling F1 right so far, so hopefully not.
I’m happy with the layout
I can’t find anything on F2 and I’m wanting to see Colton Herta race. I’ve read that Apple will broadcast F2

A couple other announcements for the broadcast:
They will not be showing the State of Charge (SOC) for the cars. Won’t be available for fans or announcers, not sure if other teams will have access to this info.
Pirelli is removing the colored stripes on the tires. I guess teams asked for this so they won’t have to tell the other teams what tires they are starting on.
Both of these will make the strategy calls more important but also harder.

So how will we know the tire strategy if not marked

That’s kind of strange.

Yeah, that is a kind of shitty development if the viewer has no idea of the strategy.
Like hiding what is going on in the bullpen

I don't dislike the no stripe if you as the viewer somehow still know. Don't know how they would pull that off but I like the other teams not knowing.

They are including this really cool strategy piece to make racing more interesting....
We won't share that with you though.

Exactly, thats half the excitement... Knowing who's on what tire strategy and waiting for how it plays out.

I feel like that's cutting off your nose to spite your face. That seems like it would be harder for teams to strategize if they don't know what everyone else is on.

If it's not abundantly clear from the AppleTV move Liberty and F1 really don't give a frick what you think is exciting or not.

Yeah, wtf is Bernie Collins supposed to analyze if she doesn’t have that basic strategy info?

And if the opposing teams don't know, you'd think most are going to play it very conservative...
Horrible move IMO. Honestly, what is the driver to remove them?

Just on Stroll's estimated number of laps - he also has had serious issues with his wrists in the past that surely won't thank him for holding onto the wheel #F1 #AustralianGP

That’s so terrible. I hope for competition’s sake they figure their shite out in a hurry.

Honda was the only team to do an engine reveal as well.

Help me understand. There will be a separate Apple broadcast that won’t show the Sky broadcast like ESPN was doing?
Posted on 3/4/26 at 7:02 pm to fightin tigers
The F1 TV app just updated the schedule to include F2 and F3 schedules.

Shift+F1 preseason primer
This will basically explain all rhe rules and what to expect. Helps for people who come in with little or no knowledge.

So they are using a gp as a glorified testing session at best. What a damn disgrace.

Highly unlikely and an extreme, but AM is saying they are potentially going to endanger everyone on the track by running a car they know can’t and won’t finish…
Surprised the FIA is allowing them on the track after admitting that.
