A new world record for the YANGWANG U9 Xtreme. 503.17km/h.
YANGWANG U9 Xtreme has done the impossible, surpassing 500km/h to set a new world speed record in Abu Dhabi. Four Guinness World Records. FIA-recognised. All-electric.
The fastest production car on the planet just got faster.
503 kph is 312 mph

Thanks for sharing that. Hadn’t seen it yet. Wild, hope there’s some other people and car companies willing to give it a try to go faster.

Herta is screwed. If he gets dinged for not entering the pits when he had plenty of time to notice the red flag, he won't get a superlicense point.
He's running out of events to get that last point...

It's crazy that Lawson hasn't been confirmed for next year. He is P9, the best of the rest, and is absolutely dominating the midfield. Gasly in P10 is 41 points behind him.
If he loses his seat, he'll be the best young driver to lose his seat in memory. I would argue that he's having a better year than Hadjar and should replace him at Red Bull.

Great interview with Sainz on F1TV at the end of FP1.

So Herta didn't get dinged. The announcer said he did not have enough time to react to dive into the pits, so they let him off.

If he doesnt get the seat, it will be brutal. Last year he got the boot out of Redbull after 2 races. If he gets the boot this year, it will be worse. There is nothing more he could've done to earn the seat. Rough business.

Norris fastest in FP1, followed closely by Ant, then Max who complained about gear shifts and steering, ham then osama.
Motogp FP1 went on with Yamaha absent from the paddock in Qatar. Marc was quickest with Bez 2nd and Martin 5th coming back from a broken wrist last month trying to keep his hopes of catching Marquez alive another race

Marc told them he didn’t want to be there and that he flew in at the last second and was leaving as soon as possible.

Oh, I hadn't noticed this before. Kimi won't wear #1 next year.

Hulk gave up FP1 to F3 driver Freddie Slater, who stopped on track when the car shut off. Now he won't go out for FP2 because of electrical demons. So he's lost a whole day.

The F1TV announcers are now talking about this. They said the same thing, it's hard to find another driver who has had such a good season and then got dropped.
If they drop Lawson for whatever reason, he should still be in F1 over numerous other drivers.

All right you guys, Last night I had a conversation with my old friend Claude, and we came up with some prediction statistics, some of which may help you fine-tune your predictions. Read the description of bias carefully to understand what it means.

This is cool. If I’m reading and interpreting it correctly then It looks like I wasn’t the only one who was expecting more out of Bottas this season.
Posted on 11/6/26 at 3:13 pm to MississippiLebowski
Bottas was the most accurately predicted driver, but a bias of -1.368 means that people mildly underrated his finishing position, and I would attribute that to him finishing in front of DNFs.
For front-runners such as Lewis and Kimi, they were pretty much who we thought they were, and they were consistent drivers.
For me the funniest stat is Russell. His bias of +4.038 means he was wildly overrated. We expected more from him because he was in the best car.
Colapinto was the hardest to predict, but he was generally underrated.

So let's see if there's something you can learn about your predictions. Take a look at the "Lowest to Highest Average Error" table on your stats page:
dg42.net/TDF1/statistics-player.php?player=bikerack
If you look at the driver with the largest average error at the bottom of the table, it's Liam Lawson. Now if the bias value was small, you could argue that Lawson was too inconsistent to predict, but the bias is a large -4.632. That means you consistently underrated him by several places. Take a look at your scorecard race by race and you'll see it's true.
Oh I looked at your current prediction list and you have Lawson at P9, so it looks like you finally recognized his good performances.
