It's behind a paywall on WSJ, but apparently Fenway Sports Group is one of the bidders for "a chunk" of Cadillac.

“As Los Angeles Dodgers owner Mark Walter ramps up the sale of his prized sports assets, in the face of a cash crunch and a federal investigation, another billionaire with a sprawling sports empire sees it as a chance to add to his portfolio.
John Henry’s Fenway Sports Group—the owner of the Boston Red Sox, Liverpool and a Nascar team, among other assets—is one of several suitors currently in talks with Walter’s conglomerate TWG Global to purchase part of his stake in the Cadillac Formula One team, according to people familiar with the matter. ”

Now that the midterms are over, Trump won't hold back on what he wants to do. We may find out this week if he's going after Iran, and then we'll have our answer on Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

I'm having trouble choosing what laughing gif to use as a response to this.

That's funny, like how he and Nico destroyed their long time friendship. Lewis' ego can't let anything stand in the way of winning races or titles.

With that said LeClerc was risking a lot making that start in Mexico.

Imola back to back would be cool

I wish they would make Malaysia permanent and get rid of a couple ME races like Qatar or Bahrain. I don't like Baku either, stupid street circuits.

Reminder, the prediction lists for the Brazilian GP will be locked tomorrow evening.

Everyone needs to update their prediction list.

Ocon has been fired from Haas. He's done.

This weekend F2 driver and next-year-Haas-signee Rafael Camara will be in the second Haas seat. I have put Camara on the Reserve Drivers list.

So you must drag Camara up to the Top 22 drivers list and drag Ocon down to the reserve drivers list.

It's up in the air who will be in the second Haas seat for the last two or three races so you have to pay attention. Hirakawa could not drive this weekend because he is wrapping up the WEC title at Monza, so they had to promote Camara early. Both are available for Las Vegas. On the Qatar date Camara has the F2 title to defend.

If Qatar and Abu Dhabi are cancelled, I'm reading that the Imola replacement race will take place on the December date of the Abu Dhabi event.

If they have those races and Iran attached and killed a bunch of people, that would be the dumbest decision by Iran.

If I were going there my bigger concern would be something pop off and being collateral damage.

Targeting them directly is a bad move, being stuck there while shite is flying in a war zone is on the person who decided to go into a war zone.

But shooting missiles at the Saudi Airport and killing 30 wasn't

Nobody woudl really care anymore just because it targeted F1. Outside of using a Nuclear weapon somewhere, theres really nothing that Iran can do to make it worse for them.

Very true, but that was the Houthis, IIRC.

Last warning! 13 players have updated their predictions lists.

There are nine more players that have been keeping their lists somewhat up-to-date but still need to make the Haas driver swap:

MississippiLebowski
tccdc
Noryev
Greace
Swamp Puppy
sorantable
busbeepbeep
flyingtexastiger
Stateguy

MississippiLebowski is in contention for the championship! Several more are in contention for a prize if you can get a podium and another good points finish in the last three or four races.

The lists will be locked tonight!

If you are inside a hotel.
Use the stairs to reach the designated safe area. Do not use elevators. If you cannot reach the safe area in time, take shelter inside the building, away from windows and near a solid interior wall.

• If you are at the circuit.
Immediately head to the solid building agreed upon with your team. Avoid tents, open paddock areas, and buildings with glass facades.

• If you are outdoors.
Enter the nearest building. If there is none, drop to the ground and protect your head.

• If you are inside a vehicle.
Stop the vehicle and head to the nearest building. If there is none, move away from the vehicle, drop to the ground, and protect your head.

• Remain under cover.
Do not move for at least 10 minutes or until you receive an official all-clear notification, whichever comes later.

• Once the situation is safe.
Do not touch or photograph any debris. Report it to local emergency services and contact your team to make sure everyone is accounted for

All right, the prediction lists are locked. You can see everyone's lists here:

dg42.net/TDF1/race-prediction

Unfortunately a couple of people updated their lists this week but did not keep up with the news or look at this thread for info regarding Haas. It's especially brutal for our most recent race winner theone. He has three podiums in the last five races and has been rising fast. But he has Hirakawa in the second Haas seat, which means he saw the driver switch last weekend and just assumed it would continue, which is usually a good assumption. Just not this time.

I'm thinking about a technical improvement to the code for next year. The prediction list tracks driver IDs, that's why you have to swap out drivers manually when there's a driver switch. I'm thinking of changing the list to track the cars instead. From the player perspective it will look the same. But by tracking the cars, if there is a driver switch, I will assign the new driver to the car, and you don't have to update your list if you don't want to. If that makes sense.

I object, but am open to negotiations... I'll vote yes for this measure if we get locks after P3
