Because it’s a seat in F1. A shitty seat, but a seat. Better than a F2, F3 or WEC seat. Probably even better than an Indy car seat and I say that as a Indy car fan.

To be honest, the movie outside of the race scenes is pretty dull. You may be better off just looking up the long race scenes on Youtube.

Yeah, but there aren't going to be any major dominos based off his retirement. None of the top drivers are going to AM.
Maybe a Sainz would jump at the opportunity, but you aren't getting anyone from RB, Merc, Mclaren, Ferrari going to AM.
On the otherhand, if Max jumps to another team, there will be dominos to fall.

No one is leaving those teams for any midfield teams voluntarily
It will give a rookie a spot to get in and show other teams what they can do, just like at other mid field teams.

Exactly, so no dominos will fall because of Alonso leaving.
Max would likely take a seat from Merc or Mclaren, then it would be on RB to take whomever he unseated or for one of the other majors to think they are getting an upgrade by dropping one of their people for the unseated individual.

Not F1 related, but there was a terrorist attack in Monaco a little while ago. Apparently someone dropped off a bag with explosives at the doorstep of a Ukranian and his family.
