Mick Schumacher Opens Up on Switch to IndyCar, Life in America, and Making His Own Name
quote:
Four years after leaving the F1 grid, the son of Michael Schumacher is finding his way in the world of IndyCar.

Life couldn’t be more different for the 27-year-old Swiss these days as he sat for a long interview with The Drive during the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach last month. He’s now living on a ranch in rural North Texas (his family’s ranch, but still, might as well be Mars for someone from Lake Geneva) and driving an hour and a half for groceries. But even that is a minor adjustment compared to the massive shift in what he’s racing—the No. 47 Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.

I really would like to see what Max could do at Indy and in NASCAR.

Most boring form of racing there is...
Lets just get in a line and go around in circles for 2hrs

Like the NBA. 4 hours of back and forth with the last 30 seconds taking an hour and coming down to luck.

Great explanation of what I saw when I watched the last few minutes of the 500 or some race like that earlier this year.

Have you watched Monaco?
Nascar is awesome live, like hockey

Monaco isn't every race though.
Also Monaco scenery > Rural Alabama

NASCAR is decent entertainment when they actually race each other. The other 70% of the race where they are riding around in a line only using 40% throttle to save fuel is boring.

I feel like y’all are mostly describing Daytona/Talledega which is objectively horrible in the current generation car. The drivers bitch about it and are pushing for changes.
Same as F1, it’s very track dependent. Watkins Glen, which is this weekend, is usually pretty good imo.

If anyone has HBO, 6H of Spa (WEC) was an awesome race today. Hypercar and LMGT3. I won't spoil it, but as a fan of a certain manufacturer, I am beyond pleased with the results.

Read an article about a certain former F1 driver that helped solidify the standings for this team to finish 1-2
