According to Gluck, when Chase was behind Chastain toward the end of the race, Chastain just slowed down and let Chase pass him. He didn’t want to get wrecked.

That's a bitch move. Chase is gonna pay him back. He said as much after the incident so today probably wasn't the best time to pay him back. Bide your time. The opportunity will present itself.

I get it. But I would have had more respect for him if he had just taken his medicine then and there and gotten it over with. He's just delaying the inevitable.

And the last 10 laps were awesome. All the leaders raced hard but clean. Was rooting for Rowdy but he had lesser tires.
Bummed there wasn’t a late caution, Chase was coming fast! How he got to 4th, wow. At one point he was changing a piece under drivers rear wheel well. Started last stage all the way in back and raced his way up to 18th. Then a caution pit put him back to 23rd as some didn’t pit. Then raced up to 4th. He was actually in picture if leaders in long views. Had there been a late caution he had best tires.
Chastain cost Chase a chance to win. He had the car. Chase owes him one. fricking coward let him go too. After all his talk last week about Hocevar and then declines comment. And why does he always take out other Chevys? Idiot.
Fox is just horrible at race coverage. Too many side by side commercials, its like they increased SBS commercials with that gimmick. Post race coverage sucked so bad. Only 2 interviews? They suck
But racing wise a good one.

Its always been like this. Kenseth was who used it his advantage.
Diff now is look at playoff points, Bell has more than anyone. Those cary forward in each stage of playoffs too.

After sleeping on it and seeing the comeback Chase had to finish 4th, Chastain basically stopping to let him by late in the race was actually a smart move. Chastain knew that Chase would send him if he raced for the position and that he had every right to do so. IDK if this is the end of it, but in hindsight it was a smart move.
Him declining to comment on the incident on Lap 1 was still a bitch move, though.
Wonder how things would have played out of Chase had gotten around SVG earlier?
