Xfinity practice and qualifying starts at 4pm CST on the CW App. You can download the app for free on any smart TV.

I don’t have Prime. First time in decades can’t get practice and qualifying. Would record so could FF thru most but still stop and catch key moments.

Its actually refreshing. I’m not mad about it. I look at it like Nascar is kicking me to the curb in favor of younger fans. And those younger fans will never be as loyal a fan as I was.

But the best part is less time devoted to the sport. Its been declining for years so this us just another shove which I will fill in with other things.

I do get all the Indy practice and other wheeled sports like NHRA, and will move more those directions. Get all the F1.

In summer Nascar will have 5 or 6 actual races on Prime so I’ll miss actual races for first time in decades too. Just another push out the door to their most loyal fans.

NASCAR doesn't want those redneck, blue-collar, beer-drinking fans. They want hipsters and minorities.
Good fricking luck.

Xfinity audio on CW
During the first segment of today's COTA race, the same hard-to hear-the-announcers audio issues on CW 44.2 were present that we had since last year.

I walked out to talk LSU sports history with my contractor -- which of course went on for an hour -- and when I walked back in just now at the start of segment three, I could suddenly hear the PBP audio loud and clear.

Hoo-Ray, after a year it's fixed. I like to think it's due to the power of talking about LSU. :)

COTA is now a road course short track. Fun race but I want to see the cup cars on it.

This place has turned into nothing but boomers yelling at clouds.

True, but with different series being broadcast by different networks, as well as practices/qualifying mostly being on only streaming platforms while the races are on network TV, it has become more complicated for viewers to access the NASCAR product.

I would gladly stream it if it meant getting rid of the incessant “side by side” commercials. I usually wait an hour to start watching so I can fast forward through the commercials.

Valid concern.

But like it or not, streaming is the way of the future. Just like cable replaced VHF/UHF in the 80's.

Nobody likes change but it's an inevitable part of life.

Eastern time zone races should start at 1
Central time races should start at 2
Pacific time races should start at 3

I know they start them later for viewership but I like having things somewhat the same.

I’m not that old but I do like to yell at clouds

Ross Chastain just dive bombed turn 1 and spun Elliott.

Maybe Hocevar can have a talk with him after the race and tell him that he needs to calm down.

It’s best to follow Reddick around for a while like he did yesterday in qualifying
