I was listening to Eric Estepps podcast this morning and the Hélio thing makes sense . NASCAR wants to go global and this gets them attention overseas. MTJ and Jimmie Johnson are NASCAR superstars that are known for that and not much more. Helio will give them the worldwide brand recognition they so desperately want. The nascar I grew up watching is not the same. They want races all over the globe . What tracks and races will be taken away so they can race in Brazil , Saudi, Japan, England?
The talk of them selling a stake in the sport is for this reason only . They want those connections to help them take it there . I don’t think any of this is good for the American fan such as myself or others like me .

I have always liked Briscoe. I think he has a ton of talent and has the tools to be a very solid driver that is a playoff contender every year. The overall lack of performance and downfall of SHR really put a lid on Briscoe showing his full potential. I’m glad JGR is giving him the opportunity.
