Is there anywhere to overtake on this track? It looks quite narrow.
Overtaking shouldn’t be an issue this weekend. Second longest track they run behind Spa. 3 DRS zones.

Qualifying in an hour so we'll see, but after FP3 it looks pretty clearly is McLaren and then everyone else. They really put on a show.
Also, Hamilton is fricking terrible, lol

Just finished watching FP3 replay.
If we're going to have a dominant car, I'm glad it's a car where both drivers are getting the maximum out of it and are battling each other. It's fun to watch. No other team has such closely matched drivers. Maybe Albon/Sainz will get there.
When was the last time both drivers of a top team were this closely matched? Rosberg/Hamilton 2016? Hamilton/Alonso 2007?

Fun news for Tsunoda. Before Miami, Red Bull is giving him a full day test in the RB19 (2023) at Silverstone. He gets to experience what a dominant car feels like. This should be real helpful for him to continue learning how to drive and set up the oddball Red Bull design.

I thought they were bringing shenanigans with the brakes, no?
So as I was looking up what upgrades teams were bringing to Saudi Arabia (before the official FIA documents were available*), I saw that each "source" of news was reporting different things for each team. It was hilarious. People hear bits of information here and there and report it as news. It's all cllickbait.
Marko confirmed that an upgrade package is coming in three stages, at Jeddah, Miami, and Imola. If Red Bull copy the brake duct thing, it will be there by Imola.
*Not sure where people are downloading the official FIA documents, but the FIA twitter account is a great source of information: x.com/fia.

Max, after Q1: "I'm not dead yet..."

Fun stat on F1tv: Stroll now holds the record for the most Q1 outs, taking KMags spot.

What are they doing with Lawson? Trusting him to make top 10 with just 1 lap?

Lando not built for this title fight
Posted on 4/19/25 at 12:52 pm to TigerFanatic99
Lando might have just handed the championship to Oscar

fricking Emo Norris dicking up Q3 right at the start.
Posted on 4/19/25 at 12:53 pm to busbeepbeep
Shouldn't Oscar have lifted?
Posted on 4/19/25 at 12:53 pm to pweezy

Seems that kerb is responsible for 3/4 of the cautions on this track

Sounds like he got to the line before the red flag was issued.
