Looks like Hadjar has flown too close to the sun and has now accepted his fate. Crazy how much can change in a year, drivers desperately wanted that seat last season.

The timing is absolutely perfect for Hadjar. There's no need to try him out in the current car. It seems like he is practically guaranteed to be the Red Bull #2 next year.

OK, the Italian GP is already upon us. The predictions lists will be locked tonight. Monza is a very different track from Zandvoort so you may want to makes some updates. Can Ferrari manage to not screw up and get good results?
Here's last year's Italian GP qualy:

and last year's Italian GP results:

For this year, here's Canadian GP qualy:
formula1.com/en/results/2025/races/1263/canada/qualifying
and Canadian GP results:
formula1.com/en/results/2025/races/1263/canada/race-result
I reference Canada because Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a low-downforce circuit.

OK, the Italian GP predictions are now locked out!
You can check out everyone's predictions here: dg42.net/TDF1/race-prediction
Now on to the race weekend at the hilariously named "The Temple of Speed."
Let's look at some facts...
The fastest F1 race in history was the 2003 Italian Grand Prix where M. Schumacher averaged 153.843 mph (making two pit stops).
The fastest IndyCar race in history was the 2021 Indy 500 where Helio Castroneves averaged 190.690 mph (making five pit stops).
Seriously, I laugh every time i hear "The Temple of Speed."
The speed in the canyons of IMS are so nuts, many F1 drivers openly say they have no interest in the race because it's too scary.
C'mon SkiUtah, back me up here.

INDYCAR when hearing about F1 considering shortening races and getting more gimmicky
Until Indy can do something about their broadcast, they'll struggle to have me watch most races. If an Indy race is 2 hours, then they have at least 40 minutes of commercials.

Now, let's compare gravel traps to concrete walls.

Pulling for Charles hard this weekend. Ferrari needs a good weekend and no track better than Monza for them to get it right.
Villeneuve with something to think about.

They talked a lot about that last week during FP1. He’s always entertaining to listen to at least.
