Alpine will be running Mercedes engines going forward. Wonder if there is truly any bad blood between Toto and Horner and if that would effect where he lands.
Damn, that seems ideal. Stay in England with a team that has great potential to improve if he wants to put in some work.

I guess on UK news, Martin Brundle got a phone call from Horner saying he learned he was out via Social Media. And he says he does not know why he was sacked...

Erik Van Haren: "Max's has come out and said I didn't ask for Horner to be fired, so that rumour needs to be stopped. We also need to stop the rumour that just because Horner is gone, I'm guaranteed to be staying."

Pretty wild. Most successful team principal in F1 history?
Posted on 7/9/25 at 12:14 pm to MikeD
No, 3rd or 4th most successful behind Sir Frank Williams and a few others.

I'm not a RB or Hormer guy, but he did not deserve to be fired. Wow.
He’s had a legendary run, but there are more than a few good reasons for RBR to move on. That team is in shambles, top to bottom, and he’s the boss.

Right on cue, there’s a Chris Harris podcast about this sacking

Christian saying he is no longer a part of the racing team but is still employed by Redbull? I guess this is part of a non-compete clause? Wonder how long this will last.

Just like checo is still technically part of Red Bull.

Rob Marshall leaving was the start, it’s been an 18 month process. And he could never get the 2nd seat right after ric.

They just mentioned a possible 3 year long non-compete to prevent the obvious of him going to Ferrari
Posted on 7/9/25 at 1:28 pm to s14suspense
kinda messed up, if you let the man go he should be able to get another job.

RBR is notorious for not letting their drivers/employees go early to other teams and keeping them on gardening leave.

Damn, a jackass with their phone on ring and one that filmed it too.
That 3 years thing may be pure speculation but I’m sure they have their arse covered at his level.

He posted a thank you to Horner on his IG account, so really don’t think he shoved him out.
Maybe his dad though

They'll essentially pay him just about what he makes now to go on a vacation for a few years. It's not a bad deal, to be honest.
There will still be the Haas and Sauber's of the world three years from now. I'm not sure we ever see him as a team principle though. more than likely a Board of Directors style position somewhere.
