Red Bull's "strategy" to hold off the last pit stop for both Max and Yuki, hoping for a red flag, was lame.

They had no other choice especially considering that they only had a used set of softs left for Max.

Point for fast lap would be nice at least.

No such thing.

I like taking the 5sec penalty for cutting the chicane.

At least they didn't make hadjar drive into a wall to fulfill their strategy.

Accounting for Alonso's DNF, the only change in order of the top 11 starters is Hamilton gaining one place (passed Hadjar, but not on track ), everyone else finished where they started.

Piastri looks mentally destroyed. I hope he can recover.

Ocon was left on an island (like Max) with no teammate nearby, but he benefited from VCARB and Williams playing an excellent team game.

Ocon owes Lawson a drink, Lawson owes Sainz a drink.

I got nothing. My list looks so bad. But most people's lists look bad. No idea who is going to win. Gotta wait for the official results.

So how long til Red Bull goes full Red Bull and switches Yuki out for Hadjar?

Since Yuki's move to Red Bull:

Japan: Hadjar +4 (Hadjar 8, Yuki 12)
Bahrain: Yuki +4 (Yuki 9, Hadjar 13)
Saudi: Hadjar +10 (Hadjar 10, Yuki Ret)
Miami: Yuki +1 (Yuki 10, Hadjar 11)
Emilia: Hadjar +1 (Hadjar 9, Yuki 10)
Monaco: Hadjar +11 (Hadjar 6, Yuki 17)

Yuki is on a farewell tour. Not sure why he would keep his seat when you have plenty of equal talent.

They wouldn't do that to Hadjar.

Yuki was slightly better than Hadjar at the start of the season when they were teammates. My suggestion a couple of weeks back was to fire Lawson, put Yuki back at VCARB, and just hire various drivers to the 2nd Red Bull seat until they find someone who can handle it. Start with Bottas.

Yuki's Red Bull career is over. Let him thrive at VCARB and move on at the end of the season.

Gasly was given a "reprimand" for his collision with Yuki. But he wasn't given any penalty points apparently because Yuki's race was not harmed.

Gasly and team tried to blame Yuki for moving under braking, but a review of previous laps showed that Yuki took the exact same line from the left side (after going past the curve in the tunnel) to the right side in the braking zone.

All right, the TD F1 Championship results are in!

dg42.net/TDF1/race-results.php?race=8

The winner of the TD F1 Monaco Grand Prix is jefforize with his second win of the season! jefforize is rocketing up the standings.

The podium is filled out by BottomlandBrew in P2 and VABuckeye in P3.

Here's the championship table: dg42.net/TDF1/index.php?table=full

VABuckeye is our new championship leader! sorantable led the championship for the first seven races on the strength of winning two of the first three races. jefforize is the second player with two wins on the season.

It's feast or famine for VABuckeye as he has three podiums but terrible finishes in the five other races.

Grassy1 has scored points in six of the first eight races. Amazing job!

Scoring points in five of the first eight races are me, pitstop, kengel2, BottomlandBrew, theone, and MikeD. Good job!
