After what happened with Sinner and those positive tests he will always have that shadow follow him, for now,…..I choose to believe him.
I do not like Djokovic and I hope Sinner beats him in straight sets.

You saw Goatovic handled that dirty grunting Spaniard the other day. He won’t be denied #25 this time

Carlitos is a good kid. Who do you have so much hate in your heart? I'd be more angry if I were you about carrot top the doper.
‘Carrot top’ does not grunt which is an abomination to the sport. It’s classless and borderline cheating

I like both Alcatraz and Sinner, they seem like good individuals as well as being great players.

Sinner totally doped. But let’s be honest so did Fed Nadal and Djoker. When Thiem and Zverev could barely walk in The US Open and those guys can fly around the court for 5 hours, it’s not hard to see.

Tennis right now is the Wild West. Like 90s/2000s cycling. Sinner is the most obvious, but doping is rampant right now.
The only guy I’m confident isn’t doping is Jack Draper because he has the fitness of a 70 year old

This is wild for a grand slam semi, but I get it.

What type of PEDs are in question here?
I haven't been able to watch much but definitely will tune in for the final if not both semifinals.
I hope Novak wins it.

And the only men's players that they've given the 18-month ban to are the powerhouses Jenson Brooksby and Mikael Ymer.

I mean, a decent amount of guys are probably blood doping. I wouldn't think your typical bulking steroids help for marathon tennis matches. It seems like there is also a class of PEDs that help in healing/recovery like whatever Sharapova and Sinner got popped with.

Thanks. I just have no clue about that stuff but it was always strange to me how they play grueling 5 setters and don't seem to get tired

It takes quite a bit of ignorance to lump those cases together.
Sinner’s case - tested positive for trace amounts of Clostebol seven days apart. The substance was traced back to an antiseptic spray used by a therapist on a cut on his own hand that was transmitted via massage. Hearings, testimonies, evidence were presented at a hearing that support this description.
Sharapova’s case - tested positive for Meldonium which she took for seven years to deal with an irregular heartbeat. She “tested” positive 28 days after this substance was added to the banned list, but always stated she was not informed the substance was banned and stopped taking it when informed.
I am not exonerating these two, just saying we ought to get the facts straight. The other scandal to me is that many, many athletes get “exemptions” and test positive for drugs that the public rarely hears about. A couple of examples:
Serena Williams tested positive for prednisone (steroid) and oxycodone when she was playing, but she had exemptions. Simone Biles took Ritalin but had an ADHD exemption. It really is a quagmire in terms of all big-time sports , drug testing, and what athletes are really taking,……who would have thought……

These guys are definitely blood doping, and whether they are caught or not the big three were never going to get popped.
Flydownthefield....why the anger? I have played tennis for 40 years. Even the peak condition athletes like Djokovic, there is zero chance that at 37 you can have the type of recovery he has after grueling 4 or 5 setters. Personally, I don't care. Just like I don't care if guys do steroids. Just make it all legal and let them do what they want.

Keys breaks to force a super breaker
Posted on 1/23/25 at 7:00 am to FlyDownTheField83
Somehow Keys keeps saving herself. Could have been serving for match but blew a big lead in Swiatek's service game. Then somehow went down love 40 twice on serve, saved it once but cost her the second time. She's at least shown grit and resolve.
