Stick and ball sports are not the same as auto racing.

We were robbed of a Bell/Elliott/Larson title fight. Those three were the three best/most consistent all year.

Looking at season long points this season could’ve had a 1992 like finale.

Those three plus Byron and Reddick would’ve all had mathematical shots.

From what Hamlin was saying a couple of days ago had Joey won(and he did), there is going to be a lot of pressure to change the system.

You laugh, but his clutch gene is stupid good. He always gets it done in the big moments.

Points if they still ran the old system. Today's "champions" all deserve an asterisk.

Damn Bell would have won it by 5 points over Chase.

Under the old system, Gordon would be a 7-time champ and Harvick 4X. JJ would have 3.

Precisely what I was going off of.

Drivers who largely benefitted from chase/playoff:

Logano - 3 (0)
Johnson - 7 (3)

Drivers who were largely punished by the system

Gordon - 4 (7)
Harvick - 1 (4)

Want to incentivize winning and keep the integrity? Make the points for winning a large jump from 2nd. Make it worth the risk. Harrison Burton finishing as far down as he did and being a “playoff” driver is a complete joke.

Yep, Gordon and Harvick were utterly bent over with no lube.

And we lost Carl Edwards because of it.

This has to be the reason he walked away. He called out stages back when they were just being rumored.

I've never considered Logano a championship-caliber driver. Still don't.

Yup. All the decisions during playoffs too.

And this track is a Penske track its like home field for the Super Bowl every year. Its why playoffs in Nascar is dumb.

They would have raced the past 10 races differently had old system been in force. Larson and Reddick too.

And why have stages in final race if only to prove its a farce system. No points to be had. Its manufactured entertainment.
