Stroll's tires are gone.
Yuki has picked up the pace and set his fastest lap.
Yuki's got P10!

Wow, Hulk charging. Got by Stroll.

Perez had a good race, "only" 12s behind Max, and 8s ahead of Carlos.
Sainz taking charge of the team that fired him.
Hamilton near the bottom of the points again. After four races, he's only 3 pts ahead of Yuki (10-7).

Wait Stroll pitted for softs?! What are they thinking? Can he go 17 laps on softs?
No.
Hulk passed him back.

I know this has been said many times before but it's beyond annoying how the broadcast doesn't show competitive races in the field cross the line.
The vast majority of the telecast is devoted to battles in the field yet when it comes to when it actually counts at the finish for some reason the director thinks we need to immediately see RB team members celebrating and smiling Japanese fans instead of cars finishing. It makes no sense.

?? | Alonso was asked if he intentionally gave Piastri DRS.
"I don't know what to say, after Australia.
"Maybe they disqualify me from the Championship."

I hate this shite and it seems to be done for most racing series.
I want to watch the race. Not the fans or dudes in the garage.

F1 focuses way to much on the crowd and random shots of pit crew/team bosses.
i already know Toto is brooding. i dont need another shot of him.

Stroll being pissed he couldn’t catch Yuki in the straights was the highlite for me.
Sainz passing sharl , close second.

I am hoping Checo Checos and Sainz takes 2nd in drivers.
Would be the biggest FU.
No doubt, ferrari made the decision based off $$$, but Sainz is a better driver than Hamilton at this point. Not in his heyday, but plateued, downside Hamilton.

Haas is so much better than last year. They have fixed so many supporting problems like pit stops are super good now. And tires falling way off is now equal to others.
Hulk had a great chance to score points. They left him on softs for second restart and he went from 10th to 16th. But over the race he raced his way back to 11th, great driving.
Here is his comments on what happened second start:
“Hulkenberg: The first start was really good. But on the second start I went into anti-stall mode as soon as I released the clutch. That's a shame, of course, because maybe we could have fought against Yuki or beat Yuki in the fight for the one point that was still up for grabs”

some good racing and battles in this race
When will F1 realize that having such a disparity between the top constructor / the second and third constructors is killing the sport??
This is not a competition to win the race anymore
Even when HAM was winning every season you still had Seb and Kimi putting pressure on him. There is zero pressure on Max from any team or driver whatsoever.
How much longer will this go on?
End rant

Just driving away the Drive to Survive fans and I fully support that.

This race was awesome. It was great to see passing without DRS! Another podium for the Sainz 2K24 Vengeance tour!

This race was not entertaining to me. Oh well.

It was relatively entertaining. Ricc not helping himself with that shite.

Did F1 tell the other constructors to slow down? Sounds like they should go faster.

Riveting analysis...
I realize times are tough when you're getting owned by the Rangers but try not to let the melt spill over to the F1 thread, k buddy?
