they actually baited him into signing the 25-26 extension so they could get that clause in there to terminate him halfway through 24

Not happening before summer break. That would require beating VER for the win back to back with at least 1 VER DNF

I just need Chuck to return to form to solidify my grip. Mercedes advancing so quickly has hurt me some.

ETA: I can't type for shite.

he does like a ton of oversteer like max, id be curious to see if that's actually true.

I don't think checo likes it al all

This is the main reason I'd be curious to see Ric for the second half in the RB seat. It's the one car on the grid that I think he would legitimately be comfortable driving.

Do they replace him immediately, or let him finish the season?

So ultimately, I blame the strategist/engineer for their call.

That said, sitting in my recliner, when they said Hamilton on softs, Max on hards, the easy answer to me was Mediums.

Live and learn I guess.

When you have already have a 2 second lead on Ham I could see why you would want to have the same tire as him. I blame the slow pit stop for the loss more so than the tires.

Is Red Bull just using Checo for different set ups to test out? Checo is bad, but something seems off and I haven’t really seen anyone at RB say anything about Checo needing to get it together.

Asked after the British Grand Prix about Perez’s continuing failure to contribute to Red Bull’s constructors’ championship tally, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said: “He knows it’s unsustainable to not be scoring points.

“We have to be scoring points in that car and he knows that. He knows his role and his target, so nobody is more eager than Checo to find his form again.”

He’s gotta go this season. They won’t win the constructor when one driver is scoring zero points most races.

Will Christian Horner be able to show his face at the Mexican GP if they fire Checo beforehand?

They may have already given up on him.

Youd think even the Mexican Checo fans would be booing him by this point

I would recommend a large security detail.

I feel like I remember talking about this and feeling like this before US GP last year and was amazed and impressed with how many Mexican fans of his that were in attendance. They might be selling enough merch to cover his cost to the team.
