Norris is a vagina.

I mean, screw him for not being in a joking mode when he had a great shot at winning his home Grand Prix for the first time, and a tire decision at the last pit ruins it.

Do you think my opinion is based on only today's Norris reaction?

Hulk has scored more points than Perez over the past 6 races.

2 years..just wow. What a win for Lewis, props to him
Not much of a HAM fan, but awesome to see him win this one. Would have preferred Lando didn’t fumble and got his first home GP, but it was a great race with a good result.

6 winners in 12 races (albeit Max still has 7 wins). Two teams seem to beclear front runners, but four who can win on any given Sunday. This is shaping up to be a very good season. Hopefully we see even more parity in the final stint of these regs next year.

I'd be pretty happy to just see Max win 10 or so more hard fought ones.

I can’t imagine Checo makes it past the summer break

Can't explain why RB re-signed Perez so early in the season despite him falling off just like last year.

But the current situation would have been SO much easier for Horner to deal with if Danny had panned out like Horner had expected he would. Putting Danny in the RB seat now would have been a no-brainer. But yet again, despite VCARB falling off right now relative to Aston Martin, Haas, and possibly even Williams, Yuki reached the points today and Danny didn't. That's 6-2 on the season (times that they've scored grand prix points) and 10-3 including the races they both did last year. If you also include the times they scored points in sprint races, it's 12-4 Yuki.

Even if Lawson does great in the upcoming test, it would be very unusual for RB to put a rookie directly into an RB seat. It makes much more sense to send Yuki to RB for the rest of this season and Lawson to VCARB. But for some reason Horner doesn't want to even give Yuki a chance.

Tsunoda is only in that seat due to Honda. They have no desire to move him into the main team as the PR would be bad when they dumped him to move in Lawson/whoever.

Also, I think there are issues with him just outside of his track performance, whether it’s his attitude, his, his willingness to help develop the car and get feedback, unknown how he’s gonna act on track and be a team player or something. If you listen to some interviews and discussions about developing drivers a lot more goes into a driver getting an F1 seat then raw speed then you would think because of all the other things that contribute to a successful team.

I think the one thing everyone here can agree on is Checo is sucking arse at driving and in no way, shape, or form should be in that seat going forward.

If nothing else, I’m curious to see how much Max is truly squeezing out of this car. Need another person to give frame a reference.

I want him to stay in it all year.

For both the laughs and he gives Haas more points scoring opportunities.

Someone else will be in that seat after summer break. Preferably Yuki, Ricc would probably be similar to Checo.

After 12 rounds, changes in the championship standings:

WDC: Piastri rises one place to P5, dropping Perez down one place to P6. Russell would have dropped him too, until his mechanical DNF. With Hamilton winning the race, both Russell and Hamilton are poised to drop Perez down to P8 in the next race or two. Tsunoda drops two places to P12, as Stroll rises one to P10 and Hulkenberg rises one to P11. Albon rises one place to P17, dropping Ocon down one to P18. With a P11 finish at the British GP, Sargeant still doesn't have any points, but he rises one spot to P20 and drops Bottas down one to P21. Bottas is now at the bottom of the standings.

WCC: No change in the WCC since last week, however McLaren is just seven points behind Ferrari and are on the verge of passing them for P2. Haas is now just four points behind VCARB and are on the verge of passing them for P6.

In the Prediction Rankings, VABuckeye is in P1 for the second week in a row. iwyLSUiwy has surged again, this time from P5 to P2. Pitt Road has also surged from P7 to P3 to complete the podium for now. Also note that MississippiLebowski has leaped from P13 to P5.

The 2024 season is now exactly half over! Six different winners in 12 races! From that perspective, the first half of the season has been unexpectedly exciting, and it's looking good for a lot more movement in the WDC and WCC in the 2nd half of the season. There are two more races (Hungary and Spa) this month before the four-week summer break. Then 10 more races to close out the season. Will any drivers be replaced over the summer break? Hmm...
