Darn it, I looked for the TV schedule for the Monaco GP, expecting to catch some FP1 / FP2 action tomorrow. But I have now learned that the Thursday running was scrapped two years ago. Now it's a conventional Fri-Sun schedule. Oh well, gotta wait another day.

Should be dry in Monaco this weekend. Anyone care to take a flyer on an upset victory?

Ferrari finally doen't frick up LeClerc at Monaco and he gets a home victory.

That would be an upset and honestly the guy is due. His own mistake and his teams terrible strategy errors have cost him at least twice at Monaco.

That would be great! I'd also love to see a real, out of the blue upset, such as Yuki or a Haas. That would almost take multiple DNFs, though.

yes, I love the gossip...seeing lots of chatter on twitter today about Sainz in serious talks with Williams...

I know it is his agent spinning the rumors, but a Sainz/Albon would be a great pairing at Williams

If Williams had Sainz this year, Id bet they be in 6th or 7th. Dont know if they have the firepower to get past Toro Rosso , but I think they would have passed Haas and Alpine.

Why?

Why would he go to Williams and not be pushing for Merc or Checo's spot... not to mention Audi in 2026?

Probably a one year deal to keep his options open.

Apparently Racy Spice isn't impressed with Perez's demand for a two year deal and rumor is Audi/Sauber wants a 5 year deal.

I can understand a driver being hesitant to sign for 5 years with an unknown when there will be a lot of other seats opening up in that period.

FP1

Ferrari looking good.

Yuki on fire, in top 5 after 30 minutes. (Everyone on hards and mediums.)

I wish Magnusson could somehow get the pole with Alonso in 2nd. They could just park it and make the race interesting with everyone all bunched up.

ETA: Alpine at the back makes me happy, will help my ranking go back up.

Among the top 5 teams, only Ferrari and Red Bull did not run softs, just hards and mediums.

P5 Leclerc 1:12.397
P10 Sainz 1:12.954
P11 Max 1:12.984
P12 Perez 1:13.229

I like Leclerc for pole.

Chaos!

HUL has done well in qualifying. I think he has been in Q3 more often than not. A HUL pole would make the internet melt.

Merc may have turned up their power as they are reportedly several tenths quicker on the straights.
