The Chicago White Sox (27-87) go to Oakland starting tonight for a three game series. On a current 20-game slide, the Sox are one sweep away from tying the MLB record for longest losing streak in the modern era (since 1900) with the 1961 Phillies. The all-time streak is 26 games by the Louisville Colonels in 1889. The White Sox have not won a game since beating Minnesota on July 10.
