Bard probably has a few innings in him.

I’m going to say I really really don’t want to lose to Mexico twice in baseball.

I know im late to the party on this, but WBC is criminally underrated. I neverwatched it until this year. i love the MLB all star game and i love playoff baseball, and this is a combination of both. Not to mention getting to see Mike Trout play meaningful games is pretty cool.

Getting to watch Mike Trout play, period, is awesome itself. Unless folks spring for the MLBtv package, most rarely get the chance to watch him play so it's been a joy to see.

Well darn. Johnny Wholestaff will need to be warming from the get go.

Edited to add, heard last night that Yu Darvish is starting for Japan, so there is hope.

Second edit, I guess I shouldn't count Mexico out either.

Roki Sasaki starting for Japan in the semifinal game. This kid’s stuff is absolutely electric.

As much hype as there would be surrounding a USA/Japan final. I feel like we'd have little shot with Merril fricking Kelly going up against Darvish.

Agree. It will be a rowdy atmosphere.

What a ball player. Has all the tools. Worth every penny for Philly, IMO.

Well said. As a Rangers fan, I see Mike Trout play a ton, but not very meaningful games, no...

2 pitches after Smoltz said Urias would have trouble with the splitter due to his mechanics.
