I wish there was a way the US Open could be moved up two weeks. Would be so much better for the sport. It would easily become the highest rates tennis tournament in North America if it ended last weekend before CFB's true week 1 (and certainly before NFL kickoff Sunday).

I sort of like having it wrapped around Labor Day weekend, but I get your point.

I think some of it has to do with the TV window today as well. As far as it’s scheduled, we have Shelton/Paul at 11 on ESPN, Gauff/Wozniacki at 1 on ABC, and Tiafoe at 2 on ABC.

It felt like Tommy dominated the first set and yet Shelton wins it 6-4. Tommy had a BP to go up 4-0 and was like 1-8 on BPs.

I think they said it's the highest for this particular tournament. Pretty sure they mentioned Roddick had the US Open record.

Serving is like pitching in baseball now. Just like everyone in the MLB throws 98+, everyone hits it 125 but the top end is the same as it was in the mid 2000s

He's awesome. Got to see him in Austin during the 2021-22 season, and he was simply incredible. I think he was No. 2 in amateur singles at the time.
