Can't believe people honestly thought he wouldn't get a ride. He has too much sponsorship backing not to. And I still think he is a talented driver if he gets in a decent car, which it appears he will be in now.

He reminds me somewhat of a young Kyle Busch. Very good wheel talent but pissed off most of the garage due to wrecking everyone and just overall be in NG a cocky douche.

He has talent, but he needs to calm down behind the wheel.

Kurt also had great wheel talent but only won one championship. Should have won more.

Junior Johnson fathered kids in his 60s if I’m not mistaken.

Yeah I've heard the stories. He was screwing around on Flossie for years ... they weren't legally married until the 1970s, you know, they were common law for most of their marriage ... then he left her for a sweet young thing who gave him the kids he always wanted that Flossie couldn't.

But ... not to defend the man ... people have a lot of misconceptions about Junior. The redneck fans loved him because he was a slow talking former moonshine runner from the backwoods, and they thought he represented "all NASCAR was supposed to be."

But the real Robert G. Johnson, not the caricature that was put on display for fans, was actually a cultured man who liked to fly up to New York and see Broadway shows, liked to vacation in Europe and in his heart of hearts had a love-hate relationship with Wilkes County, N.C., and tried to get away from it and get away from his s**tty family/relatives who he felt he'd outgrown as much as possible. And he finally got out for good.

Interesting note that I had not heard about yet. Long time Hendrick Motorsports spotter (Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott) Eddie D’Hont has moved to Stewart-Haas Racing to spot for Josh Berry.

So Eddie is gone from Chase's team? Interesting.

I still maintain that he's gonna have a new crew chief at Daytona

I'll add all the changes recently.

4 - Josh Berry - Harvick retired
10 - Noah Gragson - Almirola steps back
16 - TBA - Allmendinger steps back
31 - Daniel Hemric - Justin Haley left for Rick Ware
42 - John Hunter Nemechek - Replaces the fired Gragson
71 - Zane Smith - New team for Spire-Trackhouse partnership
77 - Carson Hocevar - Replaces the fired Ty Dillon
Justin Haley has not announced his number for Rick Ware.

Other cars of note:
13 - Kaulig - AJ for road courses?
15/51 - Haley gets one full time. The other likely rotates drivers.
33 - Childress/Erebus? - Austin Hill could run races for RCR. Erebus is the Aussie team for Brodie Kostecki. There was chatter that Erebus could be the "team" that runs Kostecki.
36 - Front Row - Could run for Herbst/Or any other drivers.
60 - RFK - Stage60 it's called. Will run David Ragan in the 500. Aussie V8 driver Cam Waters will run 3 races in this car too. Rumors are Jenson Button too.
67 - 23XI - Ran twice last year with Pastrana and Kobayashi. Woouldn't be shocked to see Sheldon Creed/Corey Heim get chances, as well as other Toyota drivers like Kobayashi.
78 - Live Fast - Will still run part time.
91 - Project91 - Likely 3-4 races for drivers other than SVG
97 - Trackhouse - SVG runs this number for V8s. It will be his number for Xfinity with Kaulig. Likely will be his number for Cup when he becomes full time.

Some more silly season news:

Kaz Grala has been named to a full-time seat at Rick Ware Racing. Grala and Haley will drive the 15 & 51 this year.

Beard Motorsports will have Anthony Alfredo in the 62 for some races this year, including the 500.

Kaulig appears to be going back to a rotating lineup for the 16. AJ Allmendinger will drive the 500. Have to imagine that SVG will run a few races here, along with the road course races for TrackHouse. Ty Dillon may be getting some races here, too (better than full-time).

So Danica is receiving heat from the blue checkmark crowd for attending a conservative event earlier in the week w/her dad.

Danica is based.
