It was awesome to watch racing without wrecks! Good riddence Paul. Everyone but Kane seemed to be competitive at some point.
And I bet Tony and the repair crew are toasting beers right now that all cars came home running and not beat to death by Paul.

He’s borderline as far as accomplishments, because from the start he ran where and when the money was and didn’t produce the numbers of his brother, who had the compulsion to drive anything with a steering wheel. But he has a ton of narrative. I don’t have an issue with it.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him booted from Legacy regardless after the season. I do expect Truex to retire and Nemechek to take over the 19. 19 becomes 18. And I wouldn’t be shocked if Todd Gilliland moved to the 42. Todd deserves better than being left in the dark by Front Row. And given his dad’s connection to Toyota in the truck series, seems like a good combination.

Let's see, Toyota wants who they want to drive their cars, Legacy is changing to Toyota next year and they need a seat, Toyota pretty much pays the bills at Nascar by writing big checks and getting their favoritism. This is an easy way to get rid of a driver and make room.
