Another good points day for Kyle Larson, the only true racer in the series (maybe Jimmie Johnson)

Who is really behind the constant call for shorter races? I’ve never been to a race and heard fans saying it took too long.
Eddie Gossage ™?

The crews, officials and media but not the fans, according to surveys we conducted. The travel grind is real and it is a beating. But if you don’t like the smell of elephant poop, don’t join the circus. You knew what you were getting into when you joined the series.

Deleted my "Dillon is doing great" tweet because...well, he hasn't pitted yet. So it was actually just me being an idiot. I thought everyone had come in.

If you do any Sim Racing, Supercars are by far the most fun IMO.

Used to get Supercars on TV, I think espn but now never can find them. Fun series, great drivers too.

Don’t get that reply. What’s notable about it?

6 Races until the playoffs.
Pocono
Richmond
Michigan
Indy Road
Watkins Glen
Daytona
5 playoff spots up for grabs by points
Some bigger names: Bowman, Elliot, Cindric, Gibbs, and Briscoe, are outside of the playoffs currently.
Bubba and McDowell are +2 and +1 above the cut currently, but the next closest is Buescher 97 points above the cut. Who of those bigger names makes it?
Even outside of those bigger names you could see AJ winning one of those road courses, Almirola at daytona, and then Suarez and Austin Dillon could grab one as well.

He was leading because he hadn’t pitted yet and was hoping for a caution that never came. Gluck actually thought he was leading fair and square

If Elliot is in 2nd or 3rd place late in a race you can be sure to see cautions.

The Longer races are killing the sport...3-3.5 hrs is the ideal max.
I think most F1 races are too short, I think Indycar is the perfect balance. Some 2hr races, some like Indy going over 3.
Problem with NASCAR (and while I'm an Indy fan first, I've watched NASCAR my whole life) is that the Stage racing disincentives you from watching anything but the last stage.
The races are so long, I know I can play 18 holes and still make it back for the final stage.
They gotta fix this
Also re V8 Supercars..its the best tin top series in the world ...I miss the previous chassis with the Holdens , Fords, Volvos, Nissans and Mercedes but it still is way better racing than the current era of NASCAR.
I also think their driving talent is mostly superior (outside of Larson, JJ, and Austin Cindric). Alot of former open wheel/sportscar talent.

Justin Haley moving from Kaulig to Rick Ware Racing next year. I guess he wasn’t going to get a new deal with Kaulig.

The winner of the WTF award goes to…..
Only way this works is if Rick Ware is serious about building up. Talks this could be the bridge to Roush expanding.

Suarez just dumped Biffle. Biffle backed it into the wall hard. Luckily they have safer barriers there.
