Cup race postponed to noon Monday. (11CST)

That’s 3 straight weeks of rain issues.

They have wet cars but can only run in damp not rain. Looks like rain thru most of day.

Of course it is.
Not their fault but par for the course.

Cars on grid. Look at all the fans it must be a packed house.

Man, Almirola just lost it there with the lead. Sounded like they said a loose lugnut on the right rear. The 10 was looking good, too.

Truex seems to have the best car by a fair margin. All of the current top 5 won't make it easy though if those guys are all there at the end.

Agreed. This should be Truex's day to finally win at this track, but the Fords continue to run good here, particularly the Penske guys. Blaney looks like he's finding a groove to challenge Truex as I'm typing this.

Truex wins. Forgot to record the race so went ahead and checked the results.

Best car all day. One of those races that if anyone but Martin Truex wins it's a shame.

Yeah, I think Bell was the only one who could really hang in his tire tracks, and he couldn't catch a break on pit road today. He had to have had more than double the amount of on track passes of anyone else working his way out of bobbles on pit road.
Good to see the 45 finally get a good finish. He's ran top 5 the last 5 or 6 weeks and just didn't get the finishes to show for it. I thought a couple of times it was going to get him again with guys getting loose beside him, just finally got lucky, though he did miss out on a top 5 with some shuffling in those last couple of restarts. Had a shot at a top 3, but just couldn't get going until it got back to single file it seems.

June was awful for 23XI nice to see them bounce back

Blaney had a good run undone by another pit road penalty. I think they're still ranked top 10 in pit performance, so my perception could be wrong, but it sure seems like the 12 team has had more issues with speeding, loose equipment, or slow stops at the worst times over the last couple of years.
Kind of funny that Austin Dillon led the 2nd most laps with 12. It illustrates just how dominant the 19 was today. Even with the late cautions frustrating Truex, no one could challenge him on the restarts.

The 45 has had speed. Was top5 at St Louis and had the rotor explode. Was 3rd at Sonoma when the 22 moved him and he cut a tire with less than 10 laps to go. Was 2nd and seemed to be the only car that could pass the 1 in Nashville before the loose wheel. Was in the catbird's seat at Chicago before he pushed too hard and ran it off in 6. Got caught up in the mess last week when he looked to have a top 10. Bubba has fared slightly better, though other than last week he has seemed to finished about where he should. The 45 though has looked like a contender with the 19, 24, 20, and 5 towards the front of the pack, just hasn't had the finishes to show for it.

Interestingly, Reddick and Wallace both finished where they started, but they had nice days.
As AwesomeSauce pointed out, Reddick looked like he was going to get caught in some trouble a couple of times, and Bubba got lapped at one point. They were still able to battle back for top 10 finishes, and I think Bubba is back above the playoff cut line now.

I’m on vacation, so I didn’t see a lap today. Pretty standard New Hampshire race?
Posted on 7/17/23 at 5:22 pm to nvasil1
Yeah I think Bubba is now 15th. Reddick already won I believe

For the most part. Keselowski had some fun little battles for position with Larson, and later on, the 23XI guys.
Truex and Blaney had an interesting back-and-forth in stage 2 where Truex would push his lead to over a second, then Blaney would find a line to pull within half a second, then Truex would adjust his line to pull away again. At one point, the NBC guys suggested the 12 might be the faster car.

Brodie Kostecki will be the second V8 Supercars driver to race in the Cup Series this year. Will drive the 33 for RCR at Indy. Guys currently in 2nd place in the points, and used to race K&N series vs Suarez. This will be interesting.
