Ambrose was always good on road courses as well with a not great team.

And he would throw hands if he had to

Is this the first ringer to win a Cup race?

You had Robbie Gordon and such, but he ran other races too. Ron Fellows, Boris Said, etc. I don’t think they ever pulled it off at Cup level.

I’m willing to say this experiment was a success for NASCAR

I've been wanting NASCAR to run a street course for more than 25 years. Glad they finally decided to do it. Just wish the weather had been more agreeable. At the end, however, this turned into a fun race.

Classic Chase self-depracating humor.

Chicago is a bad arse town man. Yeah it has its issues….but in the summer, you really can’t beat it. So much to do, electric vibes.

Just stay out of the Southside.

I hear the weather there in summer is top-notch.

Chicago is beautiful. So much to do. I highly recommend it. The thought of them racing there made me wanna see it.
This is the first nascar race I've watched in over 20 years I'm guessing. I tuned into a great one.

This is such a different tune from earlier today and earlier in the week when a couple people ITT were predicting doom and failure. Not from you but they know who they are but they are conspicuous in their silence right now.

It was a great race. Well done NASCAR.

Dan Gurney also won 5 races in the then named Grand National Series at Riverside, although he did drive a few other tracks (Only 16 NASCAR starts, however)

The humidity can suck. But the true glory are the vibes you find in each neighborhood. Always street fest going on, amazing food everywhere, Lake with beaches and bike trails, Wrigley etc, and your wallet won’t get completely raped like in an LA or NY.

I believe so.

NASCAR has been looking at other cities. I know Pittsburgh is among them. But I'd love it in Chicago again.

Also this might be the most commented on race this year in this thread outside of the 500.

This guy drives from the opposite side and uses opposite hand in Australia, then comes here and shows Americans how it's done
